Denise V. Cheney, a partner with BHDA, is included in the January issue of Texas Monthly magazine’s special section of Top Women Lawyers in Texas. The attorneys featured in the publication were selected to the Texas Super Lawyers or Rising Stars list for 2019.

Ms. Cheney has been honored as a Texas Super Lawyer for two consecutive years. She is among only 20 other women in the state who were named to the 2019 Super Lawyers list in the real estate practice area.

In addition to real estate, Ms. Cheney’s principal areas of practice are planning and development, and construction law matters, with an emphasis on the representation of cities, counties, and other local governments. She has represented both large and small cities in matters such as acquisitions and sales, commercial leases, easements, licenses, construction projects, and the development of real estate.

The Super Lawyers selection process includes peer recognition and evaluation, professional achievement, and independent research.
