Five BHDA attorneys will present at this year’s School for County Commissioners Courts, hosted by the V.G. Young Institute of County Government. The event will be held on February 16-18 at the Hilton College Station & Conference Center.
The V.G. Young Institute is a part of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension Service and the Texas A&M University System. Located in College Station, the Institute works to meet the educational needs of county officials and the public by anticipating, identifying and addressing the challenges and opportunities faced by Texas county government. Highlights of the program includes presentations such as The Public Information Act by Brad Young, Personnel Policy: Payroll by Cathy Fryer, Judicial Immunity by Chuck Kimbrough, County Purchasing Basics by Denise Cheney, and Legal Risks – Terminating Employees by Vanessa Gonzalez.
