Today, El Paso Water (formerly El Paso Water Utilities) closed a 26,470 acre land and groundwater rights acquisition of the CL Ranch, located in the Dell City area east of El Paso. The acquisition is part of the EPW Public Service Board’s long range-plan to access and transport groundwater from areas of West Texas. The PSB’s long range plan was developed in order to meet El Paso’s growing water supply needs based on population projections.
